SINGAPORE : It was a tragic start to the weekend on the roads as four motorcyclists were killed in separate accidents.
In the first case, just before 6am on Friday, a woman motorcyclist in her 60s, collided into an on-coming van along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1.
She suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital but died later.
In the second accident near Woodlands Checkpoint on Friday evening, there was a collision between a car and two motorcycles.
Both motorcyclists ended up in hospital but one, a man in his mid-40s, died soon after.
The third accident happened along Tampines Avenue 7 at about 2.30am early Saturday morning.
A motorcyclist in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene after he collided into the back of another motorcycle.
Meanwhile, another motorcyclist was killed at about 11am on Saturday when he was involved in an accident between a trailer and two motorcycles along the PIE at Corporation Road.
