what's the price of honesty?
recently i had this conversation with one my friends whom i've known since first year in NTU.. she was apparently fustrated with an issue which obviously i did not know.. so upon probing further this was what i learnt..she's been mumbling, "what's the price of honesty" for a couple of days already.. what actually happened was she applied for a job at a tuition agency as a part time tutor.. when the agency asked for her "O" and "A" level results.. she truthfully told them she got B's and C's, and added that she has experience tutoring primarty and secondary students before.. the agency said they'll get back to her once the details of her employment are finalised.. but its been already many many months since she heard from them already..
she also told me that if she had told them she got all A's and B's, she'll definitely get the job.. because they did not bother to verify facts.. as like her friend who got the job.. but she didn't want to lie..
so "what's the price for honesty?"
