bintan was great!!
the trip to bintan was great! quality time spent with my family and peipei, to enjoy lazing around and chat over meal etc.the beach near the resort reminded me of phuket's patong beach.. it had a shallow coastline.. even after swimming 200m out to sea, you still could stand on your 2 feet.. the waves were great too! my brother, peipei and myself had great fun 'challenging' the waves.. i also played beach soccer with my brother, one-on-one.. where my lungs nearly bursted because it was really tiring..
the drawback is that everything in bintan is quite expensive.. in the resort, there's only a single restaurant serving cuisine, and them being the monopoly, obviously prices were steep.. souvenirs were no better off either, a simple hair clip costing at least 5 times the price of a simple one found here locally.. however, the most expensive part of my trip was not so much of meal costs or souvenirs but MAHJONG! haha.. yeap we brought a mahjong set over and played 6 rounds of mahjong in total..
looking forward to more trips.. =p
