waikiki 2006..
first things first.. NEVER join any smu organised events, in this case, waikiki 2006, where games such as beach soccer, beach volleyball and captain's ball was played.. BECAUSE they have a tendency to screw up.. from registration, to organisation and finally to referring of the games.. none of the organisers were time conscious too as many of the events started way behind time..today we joined the beach soccer event.. riding high from our previous success 2 weeks ago, where we came in 2nd runners up in the beach soccer event at NTU surf and sweat 2006, we had quite high expectations of ourselves.. but you could guess what happened, if not i would not be complaning.. YES! we did not win anything as we lost in the quarter finals due to some bad referring..
however on a personal note, i felt we lost partially due to my lack of fitness.. i was practically walking throughout the whole time i were playing beacuse i tire out too easily.. everyone else in my team was fighting for every ball while i was just waiting to pounce on loose balls and score.. i was dragging my team mates to evident failure.. from that moment the final whistle was blown to signify that we had lost, i made myself a personal promise.. i am going to jog or run at least 3-4 times a week to regain my fitness, and though my brother did not believe me when i told him so, as i said that before but did not do so, this time i am determine to make it come true.. i had decided that from now onwards, any soccer competition that i am to enter with my brother and my friends, if we were to lose, we were to lose because we were not good or skilful enough, and not because i am not fit enough..
